14K Gold 18" Artform Bordered Black & Gold Lion NecklaceWear regal style around your neck with this stately lion pendant and chain! This Artform cameo pendant is a reproduction of an ancient South Italy coin: the Lion of Velia. Velia was an ancient town located near Salerno, in Campania (south of Naples). Originally founded by the Greeks around 538-535 BC, it is best known as the home of the philosophers Parmenides and Zeno. This ingobbio pendant is handmade from a natural Vesuvio lava stone with a porcelain insert. Ingobbio is the process of chiseling by hand. The base of the porcelain insert is painted by hand and is about 0.10 grams of "oro zecchino" (pure gold). The 14K yellow gold oval link chain measures 18"L x 1/16"W and features a lobster clasp closure. The bezel set black background measures 31x31mm. The porcelain insert measures 27x27mm. The pendant, chain, and clip are all detachable, so they are versatile and can be used with other jewelry items. Complete the look with the matching Ring .
